Frequently Asked Questions

Match the socket to the bolt or nut specification. Using one that's too large or too small can damage the bolt head or crack the socket. Before purchasing, confirm the bolt sizes commonly used on your vehicle (metric or imperial) — MUMICOL socket sets cover the most widely used sizes for automotive work.
Different vehicles have different caliper designs. Front floating calipers typically use a direct-press tool; rear calipers with integrated parking brakes usually require a rotate-and-press tool. MUMICOL offers multiple types — please confirm your vehicle and caliper type before ordering.
It may work on some front floating calipers, but it carries risk. A dedicated tool ensures even pressure across the piston face, preventing tilting, binding, or dust boot damage. For your safety and the longevity of your tools, we recommend using MUMICOL's dedicated compression tool.
MUMICOL brake line flaring tools support common automotive brake line sizes, including 3/16" and 1/4". When using the tool, secure it in a vise for stability and ensure the cut end is clean and square. After flaring, inspect the bell mouth for evenness and no cracks.
Crow foot wrenches are designed for removing and installing specific nut types in tight spaces. Always select the size that matches the nut exactly — never use an oversized wrench on a smaller fastener. If a nut is rusted and hard to turn, apply a few drops of penetrating oil first. Never use the wrench as a hammer.
MUMICOL socket sets typically include a ratchet handle, multiple socket sizes, extension bars, and a universal joint adapter. The ratchet's short-swing design makes it suitable for confined spaces. For the exact contents of each set, please refer to the individual product page.
After each use, wipe tools clean with a dry cloth to remove grease and debris. For long-term storage, apply a light coat of rust-prevention oil and keep tools in a dry, well-ventilated space. Avoid contact with corrosive chemicals.
Use an extension bar or universal joint adapter from your socket set to change the drive angle. These accessories let you reach deep or angled fasteners with full control. The ratchet's short-swing design is also particularly well-suited for restricted working areas.
First confirm you're using the correct socket or wrench size. For rusted fasteners, apply penetrating lubricant and wait a few minutes before trying again. Never slip an extension pipe over the wrench handle to force extra torque — this can break the tool or snap the bolt.
